For this reason when playing with this version you should expect that the fine sandblast finish will start to get “polished” as you play with it since parts will touch each other constantly. The more you play, the more polished the Ultem part (and the 3D printed PLA as well) will get.

The Ultem part is not completely flat at the top and has a slight curved shape in order for it to flow better during play. For this reason, the parts that will mostly touch each other constantly during a top slide for example are the both extremities of the top part, and this should cause it to show a more polished area on those extremities. This is a normal and expected result of this design.

Although we’ve 3D printed the bottom parts using the best possible settings (and material) we could think of in order to keep it very detailed and structurally strong, please remember that this is still a - partially - 3D printed product so you should expect small imperfections throughout the bottom parts, like maybe small gaps between parts, bit rough edges in some areas or other slightly small 3D print imperfections, which are considered completely normal. You may check the photos and video so you can have a better idea of what to expect. This also strengthens the parts and maintains a lot of its details from its CNC machine and original version. We’ve also used a textured plate in order to keep the parts better stuck to the plate during printing, so for this reason you will notice that in one side of the 3D printed bottom you will have a textured side, and on the other it’s going to be smooth (check photos for reference of both sides).
